So where's all the blue grass?
Or, "Lexington, Kentucky: Just like Manitoba, except they talk funny and stuff, eh."

Where the hell AM I, anyhow?
Ahhhh. Arrows pointing to a myriad of travel destinations. Flat horizons. 150-foot tall McDonald's signs somewhere in the distance. White four-plank horse fences. Why do I suddenly feel homesick?
Colleen and Ronnie
but what if I hide them REALLY well? see the signs?
Another pack of journalists in a foreign land...Colleen babysat us, and Ronnie drove us everywhere we wanted to go.
They didn't want us snapping a whole lot of pictures on the Lexmark campus during our trip, but I did manage to take this one outside. You never see signs like this in Canada.
I think there's a Denny's here somewhere. That'll make me feel safe again.

trees and buildings
This would probably be prettier with leaves.
There are a lot of old buildings and stone walls in Lexington.
There's so many of them that they convert some of them into restaurants.

trees and fences
kinda sweet...is that a 1997?
Everywhere you look you see horse fences. They say that they only care about four things in Kentucky: horses, bourbon, bluegrass and basketball.
Unfortunately, the grass was all dead while we were visiting. We heard bluegrass and basketball on the radio.
We skipped the bourbon and went for beer. Limestone is the name of the local beer, not one of the additives.

up up and...
ooooh, crinkly!
Say, have you tried those new form-fitting jet planes? They fit just like a glove.
A lot of Kentucky seems pretty flat when you're on the ground, but you notice it even more from above.
I think this qualifies as "mountains" down here.
Cincy!
trippy!
trippy too
I waved at all my friends in Cincy on the way over, but no one saw me.
